Web Design & Development

Stage 38

Graphics & Images

Add professional artwork or photographs that enhance your pages, break up text and compliment the written content on your website.

Royalty Free Images

Refresh your images at least every two to three weeks. The same old photos won't have the same effect on users who return to your website. Update your photos when you update your text.

If a picture tells a thousand words, choose images that relate to your business. If you deal with education add photographs of kids, classrooms and teachers. When a user lands on your site, a photo should tell them right away what kind of website they're on.

Graphics (like link navigation buttons) look nice when used sparingly. Often times you can achieve the "look" of a button with a rollover effect, without the weight(wait) of images by using CSS.
