Before You Start
Why Do You Want a Web Site?
Are you trying to build brand awareness? Do you want to advertise your services to bring customers into your store? Do you want to make online sales with a shopping cart? Once you've decided what you want to accomplish with your website, you can determine the functionality and content needed.
Determine Your Requirements
Will you need online newsletters, promotions or coupons? What about deep, detailed content to describe your services? Will you need slide shows, online submit forms or heavy graphics? Keep your goals in mind when communicating with Stage 38 and focus on the important parts of your site.
Do Your Homework
Talk to previous clients and hear what they have to say about their experience with Stage 38. Find out if you have server space with your current ISP or if you'll need a Web host. Make a note of other websites you like and why you like them.
Get Started
The hardest part of the Web design process is gathering the content for your site.
Stage 38 will create the "shell" and you'll have to provide the stuff you want inside. This usually surprises most clients if, for example, their product catalog is not ready.
